About Greg
Greg Baca is a Valencia County boy who grew up in the house he still lives in today in the shadow of the heart of Belen. His parents were hardworking people who brought up five children in the community they loved. Greg’s father founded and pastored a church for over twenty years which taught Greg and his siblings the value of serving others with love and compassion. His love for runs deep due to the way his family has always reached out to serve others with open hands and hearts.
After graduation from Belen High School in 1989, Greg went on to serve our country enlisting in the United States and is a decorated Gulf War Veteran. He returned home to work his way through college by opening several businesses. He earned his degree in Business, and then went on to become an attorney through the University of New Mexico. Greg opened his practice in Los Lunas to assist the county and help it grow. His concern for the citizens reaches beyond his businesses and law practice into his personal life.
A man of strong convictions, Greg chose to run for District 29 Senate in order to represent the values and ideals of the people of Valencia County, not special interests or the old politics that has caused the growth of our communities to stall. The core values of faith, family, and community need to be guarded while industry, education, and infrastructure are advanced. Greg’s experiences- Valencia County born and raised, Military Veteran, Businessman, and Attorney- are enough to make him qualified for the job of State Senator for District 29. It’s his passion for our community and this State that make him the right choice for the job.
